In April 2016, Hankyu Railway announced plans to rebuild the “Kobe Hankyu Building East Tower” in conjunction with Kobe Sannomiya Station (Kobe City). Additionally, there are redevelopment plans for JR “Sannomiya” Station, which will result in a high-rise building of approximately 160 meters in height. The lower floors will host commercial facilities, and the upper floors will accommodate a hotel and more. The development also includes a station square (approximately 12,000 square meters). These comprehensive redevelopment projects aim for completion in the fiscal year 2021.
